Kejriwal Seeks a 'Secure' Constituency: Delhi Congress Leader Devender Yadav

New Delhi, Dec 2 (NationPress) Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav stated on Monday that former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his ministerial entourage, and AAP MLAs have resolved to vacate their present constituencies in favor of safer alternatives - a clear indication of defeat ahead of the Assembly elections.
Yadav mentioned that prior to the official announcement of the Delhi Assembly elections, there are rumors suggesting that numerous AAP MLAs have initiated a search for a secure “seat” from which they can easily secure victory.
The Congress leader emphasized that the pre-election feedback obtained by the AAP appears to be so disheartening that Kejriwal has anticipated his looming defeat.
The former Chief Minister intends to leave his New Delhi constituency and transition to another area, as the community in his Assembly district is determined to oust the corrupt AAP, according to Yadav.
He noted that Kejriwal, during his “padyatra”, gauged the public's discontent towards the AAP.
Surprised by the public's outrage, Kejriwal has come to the realization that he has no choice but to escape from his New Delhi seat, as claimed by Yadav.
Yadav asserted that Kejriwal's so-called “padayatra” was essentially an attempt to scout for a secure constituency for himself, but the unfavorable public sentiment has placed him in a predicament.
He added that Kejriwal's urgency, stemming from the subpar performance of AAP's incumbent MLAs, was evident when he revealed the initial list of 11 candidates for the Assembly elections, of which six were defectors from other parties.
By denying nominations to the sitting AAP MLAs from these six districts, Kejriwal has effectively acknowledged that his party's representatives failed to deliver development in their areas.
Throughout the last five years, AAP legislators have engaged only in crime and corruption, a fact underscored by the recent arrest of Uttam Nagar MLA Naresh Balyan on extortion charges and the two-year prison sentence given to another AAP MLA Naresh Yadav for sacrilege by a court in Punjab.
