Congress Celebrates L-G’s Approval for ED to Take Action Against Kejriwal

New Delhi, Dec 21 (NationPress) Devender Yadav, President of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, remarked on Saturday that the endorsement from Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena allowing the ED to pursue legal action against Arvind Kejriwal is a substantial setback for the ex-Chief Minister, who is currently engaged in deceiving voters with his clean image as the Assembly elections approach.

Yadav criticized AAP Convenor Kejriwal for making grand promises prior to the elections, claiming he aims to mislead the electorate and obscure his tainted image.

The Delhi Congress leader pointed out that despite the Supreme Court granting Kejriwal bail with strict conditions, he continues to attempt to present a clean facade.

Yadav also mocked former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's assertion that if the ED received the LG’s permission to prosecute Kejriwal, why hasn’t the agency provided a copy of the order?

He noted that when Kejriwal and his associates are confronted with undeniable proof of their involvement in the liquor scam, they tend to blame others, including the judiciary.

Yadav indicated that with the Delhi Assembly elections nearing, Kejriwal is becoming increasingly desperate to sway voters through various incentives, with his latest ploy being the promise to assist Dalit children in attaining foreign education through the Dr Ambedkar scholarship scheme.

According to Yadav, Kejriwal, who rose to power by invoking the names of Dalits and contested elections under the jhaadu symbol, has completely ignored the Dalit population after securing their votes.

He asserted that Kejriwal’s anti-Dalit stance was evident as early as 2014 when the AAP government significantly cut the number of state scholarships for SC/ST/OBC students by over 75,000.

The Delhi Congress President characterized Kejriwal’s recent claim regarding the foreign education scholarship as yet another misleading promise aimed at attracting impoverished and backward voters.

He emphasized that Kejriwal does not even recognize the dire living conditions faced by many in the Capital’s slum areas, where residents lack basic civic amenities.

Yadav stated that Kejriwal had promised a series of incentives such as Ladli Behna, complimentary electricity and water, farm loan waivers, free rations, the Delhi Mahila Samman Yojna, and free laptops, yet none of these commitments have been fulfilled.
