New Delhi, Aug 12 (NationPress) Tiranga Rallies took place on Tuesday across various regions including Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, and many more, as the country gears up for the 79th Independence Day celebrations.
In the national capital, the Delhi Traffic Police spearheaded a Tiranga Rally alongside schoolchildren to nurture a sense of patriotism and strengthen the bond between students and law enforcement. Participants carried the Tricolour, their fervor embodying the essence of freedom.
In Ramban, a Tiranga Rally was inaugurated at 8 A.M. by Deputy Commissioner Mohd Alyas Khan. Around 1,000 individuals, including members of the CRPF’s 84 Battalion, local police, district administration, students, NGOs, and community members, participated in the event.
The march traversed the town as attendees chanted slogans like 'Jai Hind', 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', and 'Vande Mataram'.
N. Ranbir Singh, Commandant of the 84 Bn CRPF, stated, “India secured its freedom after tremendous struggle and sacrifices made by our ancestors. As soldiers, the Tiranga holds immense significance for us, and we are prepared to sacrifice our lives to ensure it continues to soar high.”
He expressed gratitude to the participants for their remarkable enthusiasm and solidarity.
Meanwhile, in Jharkhand's Garhwa, the CRPF’s 172 Battalion organized a Tiranga Yatra from its Kalyanpur headquarters. Motorcycles adorned with the national flag journeyed through the entire district, passing notable locations such as China Road, Ghanta Ghar, and Majhiaon Turn before returning to the CRPF camp. Slogans of 'Jai Hind' and 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' resonated throughout the town, with the Yatra aiming to foster patriotism among citizens.
In Gangtok, the Har Ghar Tiranga rally was attended by Governor Om Prakash Mathur, Chief Minister Prem Singh, cabinet ministers, legislators, school students, and local residents. The event commenced from MG Marg and concluded at Manan Kendra, featuring a one-km-long march that included cultural performances, patriotic songs, and exhibitions by the National Cadet Corps and local artists.
