New Delhi, May 18 (NationPress) The Delhi branch of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) conducted district-level Tiranga Yatras in the Outer, North West, and New Delhi regions on Sunday. Leaders commended the valor of soldiers while emphasizing the stringent anti-terror strategies implemented by the government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Yogendra Chandolia, MP for North West Delhi and BJP General Secretary, remarked on the transformative changes occurring in the nation due to PM Modi’s leadership.
He asserted that India's decisive actions against Pakistan, exemplified by Operation Sindoor, demonstrate that the country will no longer succumb to pressure and will respond decisively to aggression.
Chandolia lauded the courage of Indian soldiers stationed at the borders, stating that it sends a powerful message to Pakistan that India will not remain silent in the face of terrorism.
Kamaljeet Sehrawat, who joined the march alongside Chandolia in the Matiala and Dwarka Assembly areas, noted that while the new India aspires for peace, it is prepared to go to any lengths to eradicate terrorism.
During the event, MLAs Sandeep Sehrawat and Pradyuman Rajput, along with District President Ramesh Shokhanda and thousands of party activists, participated actively.
In the New Delhi and Karol Bagh Assembly areas, Bansuri Swaraj, MP from New Delhi, led the march, supported by party MLAs Satish Upadhyay, Shikha Rai, and Olympic medalist boxer Vijender Singh, along with numerous BJP volunteers.
Addressing participants in New Delhi and Karol Bagh, Swaraj articulated that Operation Sindoor was not merely a retaliatory measure by the Indian armed forces against terrorism, but also a demonstration of the new India’s strength towards Pakistan.
She emphasized that under PM Modi’s guidance, India has established that blood and water cannot coexist.
“This signifies the dawn of a new India — where responses are not just verbal but rooted in determination and bravery. Operation Sindoor marks a historic mission for self-defense, justice, and the reclamation of national pride. It embodies a national awakening where every Indian’s blood now flows for self-respect,” she stated.
In Malviya Nagar, Upadhyay remarked that these yatras allow Delhi and the nation to unite in solidarity with the mourning sisters of Pahalgam.
Simultaneously, these Tiranga Yatras epitomize a national commitment to intensifying the battle against terrorism.
