New Delhi, Aug 3 (NationPress) Highlighting the recent Air Quality Index that has reached 74, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized the government's persistent initiatives to combat pollution in the city, asserting that this marks the first time in a decade that such a favorable level has been achieved.
While inaugurating a “Jan Seva Kendra” in the Greater Kailash Assembly area, the CM stated, “In addition to purifying the air, we are dedicated to revitalizing the Yamuna and tackling the issue of waste management.”
She mentioned that her administration, responsive to public worries about the proposed ban on end-of-life (EOL) vehicles, sought judicial intervention and secured a stay on the ban until November 1.
“Moving forward, it is our duty to amplify the public's voice across all platforms, addressing their necessities and requests. This is not the government that makes empty commitments. Our current administration is sincerely striving to mitigate Delhi’s pollution,” she remarked.
CM Gupta expressed her ambition to transform the city into a place so attractive and livable that residents won't feel compelled to relocate.
Describing her government’s decision to permit commercial entities to operate around the clock as historic, she noted, “The licensing process will also be streamlined and transitioned to a single-window system.”
She criticized the previous AAP government and its legislators, stating, “In the past, MLAs were often isolated in their offices and homes. Now, every BJP MLA is dedicatedly serving the public.”
At a previous gathering, she indicated that the government aims to enhance the bed-to-patient ratio from 2.7 to 5 per 1,000 patients.
CM Gupta also unveiled her administration’s intention to implement a PPP model for acquiring medical apparatus in hospitals and to finish the construction of 24 hospitals that were left incomplete by the former government.
Later, in a post on the social media platform X, the CM stated, “Today, the Jan Seva Kendra was inaugurated in the Greater Kailash Assembly constituency, dedicated to public service.”
“This center will act as an efficient channel for resolving common people's issues, providing information regarding Central and State Government schemes, and offering prompt assistance to those in need, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to service and effective governance,” she added.
“The BJP's double-engine government is devoted to ensuring that development, services, and rights reach the last person in line within a specified timeframe,” she wrote.
