Gurugram, May 4 (NationPress) – The Delhi-Jaipur Expressway is set to become more efficient as construction is slated to commence by the end of June on two flyovers at the Manesar and Bilaspur intersections.
An official revealed that a tender for this significant project has been issued, attracting participation from eight different construction firms.
"The allocation of work is expected to begin in June, with groundwork projected to start by the end of the month," he stated.
Local residents have frequently advocated for the development of flyovers at these crucial junctions, emphasizing that their construction will not only alleviate traffic congestion but also significantly reduce accident rates.
The official further noted that over 40,000 vehicles traverse through Manesar and Bilaspur daily, with an average of 80,000 vehicles passing through the Kherki Daula toll plaza on the highway each day.
Moreover, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) collects an average revenue of Rs 48 lakh daily.
"It's estimated that only half of the 80,000 vehicles continue beyond Manesar. Motorists from several states, including Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi, utilize the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway," he explained.
He added that traffic congestion impacts residents from six states, and the new flyovers will notably decrease accident occurrences.

Meanwhile, Prakash Tiwari, Deputy Manager at NHAI, confirmed that tenders have been released for both flyover projects, with eight companies expressing interest.
