Delhi judge Aman Kumar Sharma found dead; family alleges harassment, wife questioned

A 30-year-old Delhi Judicial Service officer, Aman Kumar Sharma, was found hanging in the bathroom of his residence at Green Park Main, South Delhi, in what police are treating as a suspected case of suicide. His family has levelled serious allegations of harassment, claiming he had been under severe mental stress in the days leading up to his death on Friday, 2 May 2025.

How the Incident Came to Light

The incident was reported to the police control room at around 1:45 pm by Sharma's brother-in-law, Shivam, a resident of B-block, Defence Colony. Police teams from Safdarjung Enclave Police Station rushed to the spot and initiated an inquiry. Sharma, son of Prem Kumar Sharma, was residing at U-4A, First Floor, Green Park Main at the time of the incident.

According to relatives, Sharma had called his father at around 10 pm on Friday and told him he could not live anymore. His father, Prem Kumar Sharma, immediately left for Delhi without informing anyone. Upon arrival, he reportedly learned of ongoing marital conflict between his son and daughter-in-law.
