Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on the same day flagged off the Uber Airport Share service from the Delhi Secretariat, in the presence of Minister for Environment, Forest and Wildlife Manjinder Singh Sirsa. The service, launched at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) — one of the country's busiest transit hubs — will offer affordable shared ride options directly through the Uber app.

Chief Minister Gupta said the Delhi government is 'committed to building a cleaner, greener and smarter capital through innovative and sustainable mobility solutions.' In a separate development on the same day, Delhi's Environment Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the AIRAWAT Research Foundation of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, in the presence of Chief Minister Gupta. The agreement, valid for five years, aims to tackle air pollution through artificial intelligence, advanced data analytics, hyperlocal monitoring, and scientific decision-support systems.

Chief Minister Gupta said the partnership would 'play an important role in ensuring more accurate identification of pollution sources, monitoring of pollution hotspots, improved forecasting systems, and timely interventions.'
