Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Minister of Industries, Food and Supplies, and Environment; Pankaj Kumar Singh, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Transport, and Information Technology; and Ravinder Indraj Singh, Minister of Social Welfare, SC and ST Welfare, Cooperative, and Election, were the three who engaged in the training on Friday.
Speaker Vijender Gupta remarked that completing the NeVA training represents a significant achievement in the Assembly's mission towards a paperless and technology-enhanced legislative environment.
He noted that the NeVA Training Centre will remain available to all Members in the coming weeks, providing opportunities for additional guidance or clarifications regarding the platform’s functionalities before the monsoon session.
Deputy Speaker of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, Mohan Singh Bisht, also took part in the proceedings on Friday.
Sirsa commended the initiative, stating, “Thanks to the Speaker's leadership, the Delhi Legislative Assembly has transitioned to a completely paperless legislative system in just 100 days.”
This achievement establishes a new standard, positioning Delhi as the quickest state legislature in India to undergo such a comprehensive digital transformation.
“This demonstrates a strong vision and a steadfast commitment to modern governance,” he affirmed.
During the training, specialists from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs (MoPA) led Ministers and other MLAs through various aspects of the NeVA platform, including accessing the digital List of Business (LoB), electronic documentation, and utilizing the newly implemented infrastructure, while interacting with the system using 18 newly installed computers at the training center.
As part of the digital rollout, smartphones equipped with the NeVA mobile application were distributed to MLAs, ensuring immediate access to legislative matters and real-time updates.
The Speaker reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to offering persistent technical support and ensuring a seamless transition to fully digital legislative operations under the NeVA framework.
