Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, Feb 21 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, officially introduced the ‘CM Jansunwai Portal’ along with a specialized mobile application on Saturday. This initiative is designed to empower residents to lodge their complaints and grievances through both online and offline channels, thereby enhancing citizen engagement and administrative accountability.
During the launch event, Gupta emphasized that this platform will facilitate direct communication between the populace of the national capital and the government. “Today, we are excited to unveil the CM Jan Sunwai Portal and mobile app on behalf of the Delhi government. This allows the residents of Delhi to easily voice their issues to the administration,” she stated.
Additionally, the Chief Minister mentioned that dedicated call centres will manage the submissions, bolstered by a thorough feedback mechanism and appellate bodies to ensure resolution. The initiative's objective is to address concerns from all corners of the city and deliver prompt solutions.
Gupta also noted that while traditional ‘Jan Sunwai’ sessions will persist, the digital platform will grant citizens the ability to report issues from any location, thereby enhancing accessibility, transparency, and efficiency. Furthermore, she indicated that the government is in the process of developing a project monitoring system to oversee the progress of various initiatives and guarantee their timely execution.
As per the Chief Minister's statement, the Delhi government currently provides 75 services online, all of which will be integrated into the new portal to form a cohesive grievance redressal framework.
In a separate comment regarding protests by Youth Congress members during the India AI Summit, Gupta described the incident as “extremely shameful,” accusing it of showcasing a “petty and anti-national mindset,” especially given the global attention and participation the event attracted.
Officials conveyed that the portal is anticipated to greatly enhance the tracking of complaints, expedite response times, and foster transparency in governance, while offering citizens a singular digital interface to engage with government departments.
