New Delhi, Oct 13 (NationPress) The Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, commenced the Viksit Bharat Buildathon (VBB) 2025 in the capital on Monday, an initiative that attracted over 3 lakh schools, making it India’s most extensive school innovation challenge to date.

During the opening session, the Minister engaged with students, praising the enthusiastic participation from schools nationwide.

Pradhan highlighted that the vision for a Viksit Bharat will hinge on the capabilities of our talented school students, asserting that PM Modi’s dream of a developed India by 2047 will be achieved through innovative initiatives like the VBB. He urged students to take an active role in molding the future of the country.

“Ideas that emerge from these sessions will lead to new global models, addressing both domestic and international challenges,” he remarked.

The launch was succeeded by a two-hour innovation challenge, with numerous students participating in a live tinkering session, where teams from classes 6 to 12 conceptualized and crafted prototypes based on four themes: Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi, Vocal for Local, and Samriddhi.

A standout feature of the event was the School Spotlights, where 150 schools from remote areas, aspirational districts, hilly regions, and border areas showcased their achievements and experiences.

The Minister also visited Delhi Public School on Mathura Road and PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 in Delhi Cantt. to engage with students and teachers.
