New Delhi, Oct 14 (NationPress) Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare J P Nadda met with Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa in New Delhi on Tuesday as part of the 'Know BJP' initiative. Their discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in the healthcare sector between India and Mongolia.

After the meeting, Nadda shared on X, "I had the opportunity to meet President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa of Mongolia in New Delhi today under the 'Know BJP' initiative. I provided insights into our party’s ideology, organizational structure, and the various people-centric initiatives that have influenced India’s governance model."

"We exchanged significant insights to fortify party-to-party relations. Our conversation also delved into enhancing cooperation in the healthcare domain. I am eager to expand our partnership for the benefit of both nations," he added.

Earlier, Vice President C P Radhakrishnan met with the Mongolian President, addressing various facets of bilateral relations with the visiting leader.

"It was a pleasure to meet His Excellency Mr. Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, the esteemed President of Mongolia, during his State Visit to India, here in New Delhi today. We engaged in discussions regarding several dimensions of our bilateral relations," Vice President Radhakrishnan posted on X.

The Mongolian President also conferred with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Hyderabad House. Their discussions revolved around bilateral ties, with agreements to further enhance cooperation in defense and security, trade and investment, development collaboration, capacity building, and cultural exchanges. The leaders also unveiled a postage stamp commemorating 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

"In advancing the India–Mongolia Strategic Partnership, PM Narendra Modi engaged in comprehensive discussions with President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa that spanned the full spectrum of India-Mongolia bilateral relations. Both leaders expressed their commitment to deepening engagement in defense, trade, development, and cultural ties. A postage stamp celebrating 70 years of diplomatic relations was released during their meeting," stated the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

Before the talks, the leaders jointly planted a sapling at the Hyderabad House in memory of President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa's mother, as part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative. The Mongolian President, on a four-day State Visit to India, also paid respects to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.

Earlier on Monday, External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar met with Khurelsukh Ukhnaa and praised his warm sentiments regarding the advancement of the strategic partnership between the two nations.

Khurelsukh Ukhnaa arrived in New Delhi on Monday for a four-day State Visit to India. Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation, Murlidhar Mohol, welcomed him at the airport. This marks his first visit to India since taking office.
