Chhatarpur, July 25 (NationPress) A representative team from Bageshwar Dham, led by chief Dhirendra Shastri, has extended a financial aid of Rs 7.68 lakh to the family of the individual who tragically lost his life due to a tent collapse in Madhya Pradesh.
On July 3, Shyamlal Kaushal, a resident from Basti district in Uttar Pradesh, met with a fatal accident during an event at Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh.
In the immediate aftermath of the incident, Dhirendra Shastri made a public commitment to allocate the day's donations at Bageshwar Dham to support Kaushal's family.
In accordance with Shastri's promise, a team from Bageshwar Dham visited the bereaved family and delivered the promised amount.
Somya Kaushal, the victim's daughter, confirmed that the team reached out to her mother in Nandnagar village, Basti district, to provide the compensation.
"Shastriji had pledged to donate one day's collection as compensation. He has honored his promise. Our entire family is thankful to him and wishes him continued good health," Somya stated.
Shyamlal Kaushal had attended Bageshwar Dham with his daughter and son-in-law when a heavy rainstorm caused the tent to collapse on him.
On that unfortunate day, he had participated in the morning 'aarti'.
Rajesh Kumar Kaushal, his son-in-law, recounted the moment the tent suddenly fell while the family was taking shelter.
Rajesh reported that an iron angle struck his father-in-law on the head.
In addition to Kaushal, six family members, including Rajesh's wife Saumya and daughters Parul and Unnati, were also injured.
Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Kaushal succumbed to his injuries within an hour.
The tragic incident occurred right after the morning 'Aarti', as hundreds of devotees sought refuge under the tent from the rain.
Additionally, eight other individuals were injured during this incident.
The crowd had gathered for the ongoing 'Balaji Divya Darbar' event and the approaching birthday celebrations of Dhirendra Shastri on July 4.
