New Delhi, Jan 12 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Monday that Digital India has fostered a completely new community of creators, propelling the remarkable growth of the 'Orange Economy', which encompasses culture, content, and creativity.

During the concluding session of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 held here, PM Modi noted that India has emerged as a global center for media, film, gaming, music, and digiital talent.

He emphasized the rapid advancement in creative and tech-driven sectors, primarily fueled by young innovators and entrepreneurs.

Discussing the startup ecosystem, he mentioned that over a thousand defense startups are currently active within the nation.

“Young entrepreneurs are venturing into diverse technologies such as drones, anti-drone systems, AI-based cameras, and robotics, highlighting India's growing innovation landscape,” the Prime Minister addressed the audience in the national capital.

Furthermore, he touched on the evolution of India's space sector, stating that five to six years ago, ISRO held the sole responsibility for its development.

“We opened up the space sector to private enterprises, broadened policies, and established supportive institutions,” PM Modi elaborated.

He also underscored the extensive involvement of youth in nation-building efforts.

“The engagement of millions of young people, with over 5 million registrations and more than 3 million youths sharing ideas under the Viksit Bharat Challenge, illustrates an unparalleled level of participation,” the Prime Minister remarked.

According to him, the synergy of Digital India, startup proliferation, and youth engagement is redefining the country's trajectory.

“India's creative economy, driven by culture, content, and innovation, is not only creating new opportunities domestically but also positioning the nation as a leader on the global stage in emerging sectors,” Prime Minister Modi concluded.
