Jammu, June 5 (NationPress) Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced on Thursday that a direct train service connecting Jammu and Srinagar is set to commence in September, following the completion of renovations at the Jammu railway station.

During a press conference, Vaishnaw confirmed that the ongoing construction at the Jammu railway station is progressing well and is expected to finish by September.

He stated, “With the new platforms 5 and 6 now operational, Vande Bharat trains will begin direct services between Jammu and Srinagar in September.”

The Union Minister's visit to Jammu railway station was aimed at overseeing the current development projects.
