DMK Coalition: A Lasting and Principle-Focused Alliance, Asserts TN Chief Minister

Chennai, December 26 (NationPress) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday reiterated that the DMK-led coalition is not merely a principle-focused partnership but one that is enduring.

He made this declaration during a public event honoring freedom fighter and esteemed CPI leader R. Nallakannu on his 100th birthday.

Chief Minister Stalin paid his respects to R. Nallakannu and recognized his steadfast support for the people-centric welfare initiatives executed by the Dravidian model government.

Stalin commended the veteran leader as calm, diplomatic, and highly analytical, noting that Nallakannu continues to motivate and guide the youth of Tamil Nadu.

To celebrate the legacy of the veteran leader, the Chief Minister proclaimed the upgradation of the Srivaikuntam Government Hospital, the birthplace of R. Nallakannu.

The newly constructed facility will bear the name “Comrade Nallakannu Centenary Building”.

During his speech, Stalin emphasized the strength and success of the DMK-led coalition, which has remained strong for seven years and consistently achieved electoral victories.

He urged coalition partners to remain united and resolute, expressing confidence that the alliance would secure more than 200 seats in the forthcoming 2026 Assembly elections.

The DMK has already initiated preparations for the elections, with the leadership appointing full-time in-charges in each Assembly constituency to advocate the state government’s welfare programs.

These initiatives, introduced under Stalin's leadership, aim to foster grassroots transformation.

To facilitate focused election efforts, the ruling DMK has designated full-time representatives for every Assembly constituency.

These representatives report to a dedicated election cell located at the party's state office, Anna Arivalayam.

The election cell is headed by Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, who also leads the DMK youth wing.

Senior DMK figures, including Organising Secretary R.S. Bharathi and Ministers Thangam Thenarasu, E.V. Velu, and K.N. Nehru, are part of this cell.

As per party sources, the full-time representatives are assigned the responsibility of directly engaging the public to highlight the influence of the government's welfare initiatives.
