Honouring the Fellows and Women's Organisations

The Lieutenant Governor praised the assembled fellows for challenging deeply entrenched stereotypes and redefining what is possible for the region's women. Sinha paid homage to a lineage of women who have shaped J&K's cultural and political consciousness — among them Rani Didda, Kota Rani, Lal Ded, Habba Khatoon, and Mata Rupa Bhawani. He argued that J&K's women have historically scaled the highest peaks of Nari Shakti, and he expressed his desire for them to once again lead the region's development.
