Srinagar, Nov 5 (NationPress) The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), Manoj Sinha, emphasized on Wednesday that the reimagined essence of J&K is based on peace devoid of fear, prosperity, and unity, ensuring that every citizen experiences India's rapid development.

During his keynote address at the two-day International Symposium titled 'Peace, People, and Possibilities in Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory,' LG Manoj Sinha articulated a vision for a flourishing J&K that embodies tranquility, freedom from fear, and equal chances for all.

This event was hosted by Vishwagram, a charitable organization committed to promoting education, kindness, art, and community service throughout India.

In his speech, the L-G elaborated on a progressive J&K where everyone is empowered and benefits from India’s swift advancements.

He acknowledged the significant sacrifices made over the past five years to lead J&K to its current state.

"The visible peace in Jammu and Kashmir today has created a chance for everyone to thrive with mutual respect and equal dignity in their lives," he stated.

“The effects of peace, the people's efforts towards a brighter future, and the vast opportunities available without bias are evident," he added.

“Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance, we have adhered to the principles of people-first, social justice, and equality, which have positively impacted the lives of the residents and this treasured region of the nation," he noted.

The LG also reaffirmed the strong commitment to dismantle the ecosystem of terror while ensuring peace, justice, and fairness.

“We are committed to enhancing socio-economic growth and realizing the aspirations of our youth,” he stated.

He remarked that "in five years, our courageous forces and the J&K Police have fostered an environment in which melodies replace the sounds of violence.

“We have shaped a J&K where schools resonate not with conflict but with the laughter and learning of children.

“We have cultivated a J&K where regions like Pulwama, Shopian, and Kulgam, once enveloped in silence, have blossomed into hubs of culture and literature for the youth.

“Markets like Lal Chowk and Polo View are vibrant again, bustling with life. We have nurtured a J&K where new dreams ride the waves of the Vitasta (Jhelum)," he expressed.

The LG reiterated that the citizens of J&K embody the essence of peace. He urged all community sectors to unite against forces that threaten tranquility and to combat the issues of drug addiction and youth radicalization. He emphasized the necessity of adhering to the rule of law for peace, progress, and prosperity.
