Srinagar, Nov 5 (NationPress) The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), Manoj Sinha, emphasized on Wednesday that the emerging vision for J&K is one of peace without fear, prosperity, and unity, ensuring that every citizen experiences the rapid advancements of India.
During his keynote speech at the two-day International Symposium on 'Peace, People and Possibilities in Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory,' LG Manoj Sinha articulated a vision for a thriving J&K characterized by peace, absence of fear, and a commitment to prosperity, where every citizen is empowered and benefits from India's swift development.
He acknowledged the significant sacrifices made over the past five years to reach the current state of J&K.
"The visible peace in Jammu and Kashmir today has created opportunities for all individuals to thrive with mutual respect, ensuring that everyone has equal chances to lead a dignified life," he stated.
“The impact of peace is evident through the collective efforts of the people striving for a brighter future, fostering immense opportunities for everyone without discrimination," he added.
Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, principles focusing on people-first, social justice, and equality have transformed both the lives of the citizens and the status of this crown jewel of the nation.
The Lieutenant Governor further emphasized the determination to dismantle the ecosystem of terror and reaffirmed the commitment to uphold peace, justice, and equity.
“We are resolute in our efforts to promote socio-economic development and to turn the aspirations of our youth into reality,” he remarked.
He noted that "in just five years, our courageous forces and the J&K Police have established a Jammu and Kashmir where the melodies of ragas and a fresh enthusiasm have replaced the sounds of bullets and grenades.
“We have fostered a Jammu and Kashmir where school walls resonate not with the clash of stones, but with the laughter and creativity of children pursuing education.
"Today, towns like Pulwama, Shopian, and Kulgam, once enveloped in silence, have evolved into vibrant cultural and literary hubs for the youth."

The LG emphasized that the people of J&K are the true essence of peace. He reiterated the importance of abiding by the rule of law for enduring peace, progress, and prosperity.
