Patna, March 28 (NationPress) A devastating road incident in the district of Madhepura, Bihar, resulted in the untimely demise of three young individuals after their vehicle plunged into a river. This tragic event has enveloped the community in mourning.
The accident took place on Saturday morning close to the Arar Bridge, falling within the jurisdiction of the Arar police station, as the friends were on their way back from a Ram Navami fair held in Gwalpara block.
At approximately 1 A.M., the driver lost control of the car, leading it to collide with a pole before it fell into the Sursar River.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of Arar Police Station reported, “Of the four friends who were in the car, three have tragically lost their lives.”
The victims have been identified as Ghanshyam Kumar (28) from the Station Chowk area of Madhepura, Ankit Kumar (26) from Mokma in Saharsa district, and Vasant Kumar (23) from the Saur Bazar locality.
“One person remains unaccounted for, and a search operation is currently in progress. Teams comprising the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), local police, and community members are actively working to locate the fourth individual,” the SHO added.
