This day serves to honor the bravery, vision, and sacrifices of all those pivotal in granting us the freedom we now treasure.
“We must acknowledge not only the leaders immortalized in history but also countless individuals – farmers, laborers, students, homemakers, and tribal communities who played vital roles in the grassroots struggle against the British Empire,” he stated.
The Chairman reminded us of the contributions of eminent leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Lala Lajpat Rai, Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Bipin Chandra Pal, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first Home Minister of Independent India.
“We must bow our heads in gratitude and remembrance to them and all those who significantly contributed during the freedom movement,” he said.
He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the children of Maa Bharati, who have stood resolutely in defending our borders, emerging victorious against adversities such as natural disasters, pandemics, and global challenges.
Their prompt and effective responses in challenging times have showcased the indomitable spirit of India, he remarked.
He urged the nation to honor the builders, visionaries, scientists, doctors, engineers, advocates, teachers, artists, and countless professionals who have propelled development post-independence.
