Finance Assigned to Radha Krishna, Health to Irfan: Hemant Soren Finalizes Cabinet Portfolios

Ranchi, Dec 6 (NationPress) Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has officially designated portfolios to his Cabinet ministers. The notice was circulated on Friday afternoon.

Chief Minister Soren has retained several significant portfolios, which include Personnel, Administrative Reforms, and Official Language, as well as Home (which covers Prisons), Road Construction, Building Construction, along with the Cabinet Secretariat and Monitoring Department.

Minister Radha Krishna Kishore has been entrusted with the responsibilities of Finance, Commercial Tax, Planning, Development, and Parliamentary Affairs.

Deepak Birua has been assigned to manage the Revenue, Registration, Land Reforms, and Transport departments.

Chamra Linda will oversee the Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste Welfare (excluding Minority Welfare).

Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav has been allocated the Labour, Planning, Training, Skills, and Industry portfolios.

Ramdas Soren is responsible for School Education and Literacy.

Irfan Ansari has been given charge of Health, Medical Education, Family Welfare, Food, Public Distribution, Consumer Affairs, and Disaster Management.

Hafizul Hasan will manage Water Resources and Minority Welfare Affairs.

Minister Deepika Pandey Singh has been assigned the portfolios of Rural Development, Rural Works, and Panchayati Raj.

Yogendra Prasad is tasked with Drinking Water and Sanitation, as well as Excise and Prohibition of Liquor.

Sudivya Kumar Sonu has been allocated responsibilities for Urban Development and Housing, Higher and Technical Education, along with Tourism, Art-Culture, and Youth Affairs.

The youngest member of Hemant Soren's Cabinet, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, has been assigned the Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Cooperative departments.

Departments that have not been specifically allocated will remain under the direct supervision of the Chief Minister, as per the notification.

The notification regarding the portfolio assignments was signed by Vandana Dadel, Principal Secretary to the Government of Jharkhand.

Hemant Soren expanded his Cabinet on Thursday, with 11 ministers taking the oath of office and secrecy.

The newly-formed Cabinet consists of six new members and five returning faces. The newcomers include Sonu, Linda, Mahato from the JMM, Kishore and Tirkey from Congress, and Sanjay Yadav from the RJD.
