At the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, the day began with the 'Mangala Aarti', followed by the opening of temple gates for public darshan. Enthusiastic devotees formed long yet organized lines, eager to receive the blessings of Baba Vishwanath.
“Today marks the first day of Sawan, and the darshan experience was exceptional. The arrangements and amenities are commendable. The government has performed admirably, and cleanliness is remarkable. Everyone entered in an organized manner,” remarked a devotee outside the temple.
Another devotee chimed in, “The arrangements are superb.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conveyed his wishes via the social media platform X (originally in Hindi), stating, “Heartfelt greetings to all devotees and residents of the state on the auspicious month of Sawan, dedicated to the worship of Lord Bholenath! May Mahadev, the God of gods, bless the entire universe. OM namah shivay!”
