Jaipur, Oct 21 (NationPress) Rajasthan is on the verge of establishing its inaugural electric bus (e-bus) manufacturing facility in the Ghiloth Industrial Area of Neemrana tehsil, situated in the Kotputli-Behror district. The state government has promptly allocated 265,329 square metres (or 65.56 acres) of land for this groundbreaking project through RIICO, following an MoU signed during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit.
PMI Electro Mobility Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is set to develop the plant with an initial investment of around Rs 1,200 crore. The facility will not only facilitate production but also manufacture essential components such as bus bodies, electric motors, batteries, wire harnesses, and more.
A delegation from PMI Electro Mobility Solutions met with Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma at his residence on Tuesday, thanking him for the rapid allocation of land. During this meeting, the Chief Minister reiterated the government's commitment to industrial growth, job creation, and the enhancement of core infrastructure in Rajasthan.
He mentioned that the establishment of this plant represents a crucial step in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Make in India'. CM Sharma stated, "This initiative will elevate Rajasthan's status as a key hub for electric vehicle manufacturing in India." He emphasized that it will generate numerous direct and indirect employment opportunities for the youth of the state, who will also receive training in the burgeoning field of electromobility.
Moreover, the Chief Minister highlighted that the introduction of e-buses will foster green energy, support sustainable urban transportation, and contribute to a cleaner environment.
Officials from the CMO indicated that this plant marks the dawn of a new era of green transportation in the desert state.
