Patna, Jan 16 (NationPress) A tragic total of five individuals met their demise on Wednesday due to two distinct road mishaps in Bihar.
The first incident took place in the Madhubani district of Bihar, where three young men lost their lives in a collision between a speeding cement truck and a motorcycle.
This accident transpired close to a village falling under the jurisdiction of the Khajuli police station in Madhubani district.
The truck, traveling at high speed, crashed into the motorcycle that was carrying the three victims.
All three young men were pronounced dead at the scene. The police quickly arrived and confiscated the truck.
Efforts to capture the truck driver, who fled the scene post-incident, are currently ongoing.
The deceased have been identified as Sachin Kumar Mandal (22), Rajesh Mandal (27), and Bharat Mandal (28).
Rajesh and Bharat Mandal were the brothers-in-law of Sachin.
They were en route to visit their ailing father-in-law when the unfortunate event occurred. The loss of these three family members has plunged their relatives into deep sorrow and shock.
“We have taken possession of the truck and sent the bodies for post-mortem. We are actively working to apprehend the negligent truck driver,” stated the SHO of Khajuli police station.
An investigation is currently in progress to trace the absconding driver and ascertain the cause of the accident.
The second incident took place in the Jamui district, where two siblings tragically lost their lives in another road accident.
This accident occurred on the Chakai-Deoghar main road, near Ashana Mor, when a truck collided with a motorcycle. Both siblings, identified as Abhishek Das and Rishu Kumari, died instantly due to the severity of the impact.
The truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. The police have since confiscated the truck and are conducting an investigation to identify the driver responsible.
In the wake of the accident, an FIR for rash and negligent driving has been filed, and officials are working diligently to apprehend the perpetrator.
