This heavy fog resulted in visibility dropping to almost zero in various locations, severely disrupting transportation services, particularly affecting rail and flight operations.
At 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the temperature in Delhi was recorded at 10 degrees Celsius, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting a drop to a minimum of 9 degrees Celsius for the day.
On the other hand, the maximum temperature was expected to reach approximately 19 degrees. The weather agency also cautioned about a generally overcast sky throughout the day, with light rain or drizzle anticipated later in the evening or at night.
As the dense fog persisted, the morning temperature in Delhi stood at 9 degrees Celsius, prompting the IMD to issue another alert predicting more fog during evening and night hours.
