New Delhi, April 10 (NationPress) The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, emphasized the necessity for quicker decision-making, the integration of advanced technologies, and the implementation of sustainable methodologies to lower construction expenses and boost overall efficiency during a recent address.

The Minister pointed out that fulfilling essential prerequisites, such as land acquisition and regulatory approvals, ahead of time is crucial for the seamless execution of infrastructure projects, as stated in the official release.

He remarked that delays stemming from outstanding clearances and procedural hurdles in the past have significantly hindered project schedules and adversely affected the financial stability of contractors.

Furthermore, the minister stressed the importance of promoting biofuels, biomass-based fuels, and other alternative energy sources, along with new technologies, which are vital for the future trajectory of infrastructure development.

These innovations can mitigate reliance on traditional fuels and reduce operational expenses. He also advocated for a greater emphasis on waste-to-resource technologies, including the recycling of plastic waste and used tires for road construction.

Highlighting successful initiatives, the minister mentioned that the incorporation of plastic waste into road construction has yielded promising outcomes in various projects, notably in Nagpur.

He further emphasized the significance of embracing futuristic technologies and research-driven solutions while urging enhanced collaboration among industry stakeholders, research organizations, and educational institutions to foster innovative construction methodologies.

Gadkari asserted that effective infrastructure development demands expedited decision-making, meticulous project planning, and a strong commitment to quality.
