New Delhi, April 18 (NationPress) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that the Gandhi family will face repercussions for their actions regarding the National Herald case.

Recently, the Enforcement Directorate submitted a charge sheet against prominent Congress figures Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and others concerning alleged money laundering activities tied to the National Herald case. The ED has identified Sonia Gandhi as accused number 1 and her son, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, as accused number 2 in the charge sheet filed on April 9. This case is scheduled for hearing on April 25.

In an exclusive conversation with IANS, the Delhi CM commented, "Whatever the Gandhi Parivar has executed in the National Herald matter, they will be held responsible for it."

Sonia and Rahul have been charged under several sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) before the court of special judge Vishal Gogne. The charge sheet also lists Congress associates Suman Dubey, Sam Pitroda, and others as accused.

Regarding the questioning of businessman and Sonia's son-in-law Rober Vadra in relation to a land deal case, CM Gupta reiterated that the Gandhi family will confront the ramifications of their actions.

"Jo karam karega, usko bhugatna hee padega. Gandhi parivaar ne jo kiya hai, woh unke saamne aayega" (Whoever takes action must face the consequences. What the Gandhi family has done will come to light), said CM Gupta.

Vadra, who is married to Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, has been interrogated for three consecutive days by the Enforcement Directorate concerning a money laundering case associated with a land deal in Shikohpur, Haryana.

He was summoned following the emergence of new evidence related to the 2008 land transaction, as indicated by sources, noting that officials have been confronting him with these new details. His statement has been recorded under the PMLA.

In her interview with IANS, Delhi CM also addressed the viral video of her sharing the stage with Rahul.

She remarked, "Everyone has their own nature. The nation is well aware of it. As Delhi's Chief Minister, my duty is to honor and respect everyone, which I did." Both leaders exchanged words for a while. While CM Gupta smiled lightly, Rahul appeared uneasy.
