Patna, March 31 (NationPress) An unexpected gathering between JD(U) senior figure and MLC Ghulam Gaus, along with RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, at Rabri Devi’s home located on 10 Circular Road has ignited political dialogue in Bihar.

The encounter, occurring on Monday right after he completed his Eid-ul-Fitr prayers, has prompted conjecture regarding possible political shifts within the region.

Gaus participated in the prayers at Gandhi Maidan, where Chief Minister Nitish Kumar served as the chief guest. Following the Eid prayers, he proceeded to visit Lalu Prasad Yadav at Rabri Devi’s residence.

While his visit has stirred speculation about a possible change in his political views, Gaus refuted any political implications behind the meeting.

Addressing the media after the gathering, Gaus highlighted that the visit was solely festive.

"Ramzan teaches us love, mutual harmony, and brotherhood. Fasting is not just about abstaining from food; it embodies self-discipline. That is the true essence of Jihad — controlling one’s impulses, contrary to popular misinterpretations today," he clarified.

Regarding his meeting with Lalu Yadav, he stated, "We frequently meet during festivals — be it Holi or Dussehra, we celebrate together. Today is Eid, a day for unity, not politics. I visited Lalu Yadav to convey Eid wishes."

He continued: "We all originate from the JP movement. Dr. Lohia always said that while political disagreements exist, there should be no discord. Everyone interacts, and this was simply that."

This gathering followed closely after Union Home Minister Amit Shah completed his two-day visit to Bihar, during which he sharply criticized Lalu Yadav and the RJD.

Given the evolving political dynamics in Bihar, Gaus’ meeting with Lalu Yadav is perceived as symbolic, despite his denials of any political motives.

With the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections on the horizon, political analysts suggest that such inter-party meetings might signal early indications of potential realignments within the state’s political framework.
