Chandigarh, May 10 (NationPress) Emphasizing that sound judgment has finally triumphed in Pakistan following India's decisive actions against terrorism through Operation Sindoor, Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar expressed his support for the ceasefire decision on Saturday. He noted that under Prime Minister Modi, India has clearly communicated to Pakistan that supporting terrorism will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Speaking on behalf of the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, Jakhar stated, "India remains committed to its longstanding pledge to global peace." He added that "our armed forces, through Operation Sindoor, have sent a clear message to Pakistan that cross-border terrorism is unacceptable."

"Our thoughtful and assertive measures against terror camps in Pakistan have demonstrated that we will not hesitate to take strong action against any threats to India's security," Jakhar remarked after an all-party meeting chaired by Governor Gulab Chand Kataria.

During the discussions, Jakhar also proposed seeking a special economic package from the central government for Punjab to address the losses incurred in business and trade due to the ongoing conflict. This suggestion received support from the Punjab Governor, Chief Minister, and all leaders present at the meeting.

“Given Punjab's strategic position, we have endured significant sacrifices in every war. Punjab has faced immense hardships, and each conflict has not only cost lives but has also adversely affected our trade and business, necessitating a package to alleviate our losses and support Punjab," Jakhar emphasized.

In response to a media inquiry, Jakhar reiterated the need for vigilance to prevent any future attempts by Pakistan to infiltrate terrorists into Indian territory. "We must remain alert to ensure that no such activities emerge again from across the border," he insisted.
