New Delhi, Dec 26 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared on Friday that his administration is dedicated to enhancing ‘Ease of Living’ and that the reform agenda will progress with even greater intensity in the upcoming period.
In response to a discussion on the social media platform X, initiated by the MyGovIndia handle, PM Modi emphasized that his government has made strides towards empowering millions.
"Our government is focused on enhancing ‘Ease of Living’, and the thread below illustrates how we have made progress in this area. Our reform agenda will move forward with renewed determination in the future," the Prime Minister indicated.
The MyGovIndia account remarked that the true measure of reform lies in its ability to alleviate stress for individuals.
“The year 2025 marked a pivotal change in governance, with reforms aimed at outcomes rather than complexity. Simplified tax regulations, quicker dispute resolutions, modern labor codes, and decriminalized compliance have minimized friction for citizens and businesses alike. The focus has shifted to trust, predictability, and sustainable growth, demonstrating how well-crafted policy can subtly enhance daily life,” it stated on social media.
For countless Indians, tax relief has become a reality. Incomes up to Rs 12 lakh are now tax-exempt. Middle-class households can now keep more of their earnings, providing them with the liberty to spend, save, and invest with increased assurance.
“Introducing a new tax framework for a New India. The Income Tax Act, 2025, which replaces the 1961 Income-tax Act, simplifies compliance and offers clarity, transparency, and equity within the direct tax system, making it more favorable for taxpayers and suitable for contemporary needs,” it further elaborated.
Small enterprises can now expand without the apprehension of losing benefits. Increased investment and turnover thresholds enable MSMEs to grow while maintaining access to loans and tax advantages. This promotes scaling, increased hiring, and the development of robust local businesses, as per MyGovIndia.
Twenty-nine labor laws have been condensed into four straightforward codes addressing wages, safety, social security, and labor relations. Rights are more defined, compliance is less burdensome, and women gain from guaranteed maternity and workplace protections, it added.
With streamlined tax brackets, simplified registration, automated processes, and expedited refunds, the next generation of GST reforms is enhancing the ease of doing business.
“The results are evident in record-breaking Diwali sales of Rs 6.05 trillion and the most robust Navratri shopping in over a decade,” it remarked.
