Jaipur, Aug 13 (NationPress) The 79th state-level Independence Day celebration is set to take place with great splendor in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, as announced by government officials on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will raise the national flag at 9:05 a.m. on Friday during the state-level event at Barkatullah Khan Stadium and will deliver a speech to the citizens of Rajasthan on this momentous occasion.
Prior to the ceremony, at 8:55 a.m. on Friday, the Chief Minister will pay homage to martyrs at the Shaheed Smarak near Jai Narayan Vyas University.
On Thursday afternoon, Chief Minister Sharma will arrive in Jodhpur, where he will attend an 'At Home' reception at Mehrangarh Fort, enjoy a cultural program at Samrat Ashok Udyan, and partake in the Tiranga Yatra on the eve of Independence Day.
Earlier on Thursday morning, he will travel from Jaipur to Bikaner, where he will engage with Border Security Force (BSF) personnel at the Kodewala Border Out Post (Khajuwala).
Additionally, he will participate in the Tiranga Yatra in Nal village and attend a ceremony in Bikaner city to commemorate Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.
After completing his engagements in Bikaner, Chief Minister Sharma will head to Jodhpur for the Independence Day celebrations.
He is expected to return to Jaipur by Friday afternoon following the conclusion of the state-level event.
On Wednesday, Chief Minister Sharma and his wife hoisted the national flag at the Chief Minister's residence as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.
He urged the citizens of Rajasthan to hoist the tricolor at their residences and actively engage in the campaign.
The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' initiative, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, encourages citizens to proudly display the national flag at their homes and workplaces from August 13 to 15.
