Gandhinagar, March 6 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled a new lineup of district and city presidents in Gujarat, naming 26 district presidents and six city presidents.
Anil Patel has been appointed as the BJP president for Gandhinagar district, while Chandubhai Makwana will lead Junagadh district, Atul Kanani for Amreli, Kirtisinh Vaghela for Banaskantha, and Bharatbhai Rathod for Surat.
These changes are part of the party's strategy to reinforce its leadership at the grassroots level in anticipation of the forthcoming elections. Although the majority of district and city presidents have been appointed, some significant roles are still to be filled.
Notably, the BJP is yet to confirm the president for Vadodara district, along with city presidents for Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Porbandar, and Panchmahal. Sources within the party suggest that these appointments will be concluded shortly.
Among the newly designated city BJP presidents, Paresh Kumar Patel will oversee Surat, Dr. Madhav K. Dave for Rajkot, Binaben Kothari for Jamnagar, Dr. Jayaprakash Soni for Vadodara, Gaurav Rupareliya for Junagadh, and Kumarbhai Shah for Bhavnagar.
These leaders are anticipated to be instrumental in mobilizing party members and devising strategies for local elections.
In terms of district leadership, Girish Rajgor has been appointed for Mehsana, Ramesh Sindhav for Patan, Shailesh Davda for Ahmedabad, Bhuralal Shah for Navsari, Dashrath Baria for Mahisagar, and Snehal Dharia for Dahod.
Further appointments include Kishore Gavit for Dang, Suraj Vasava for Tapi, Hemant Kansara for Valsad, Prakash Modi for Bharuch, and Neel Rao for Narmada. In the Saurashtra and Kutch regions, Devji Varchand will take the lead in Kutch, Alpesh Dholaria will head Rajkot, Jayanti Rajkotia will manage Morbi, and Sanjay Parmar has been appointed for Gir Somnath.
