Gandhinagar, May 5 (NationPress) - The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has officially released the results for the Class 12 board examinations and the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2024, revealing that 93.07 percent of students successfully passed the board exam.
This year's overall pass rate marks an increase from last year's 91.93 percent.
In the Science stream, the pass percentage stands at 83.51 percent, while the General stream surpassed it with a notable 93.07 percent pass rate. Both streams have demonstrated improvement compared to the previous year, with the Science stream increasing by 1 percent and the General stream by 1.14 percent.
In the Science stream, the Gondal centre achieved the highest result at 96.90 percent, whereas Dahod centre recorded the lowest with 54.48 percent. Among districts, Morbi led the Science stream with a pass rate of 92.91 percent, while Dahod again had the lowest at 59.15 percent. A total of 194 schools achieved a 100 percent success rate in Science, while 34 schools had less than 10 percent of students passing. Overall, 83,987 students successfully cleared the Science stream examinations.
In terms of grading, 831 students earned A1 grades, 8,083 achieved A2, and 15,678 were awarded B1 grades. In the General stream, 3,37,387 students passed, achieving a 93.07 percent success rate.
Six centres managed to achieve 100 percent results: Sapreda, Vangadhra, Chandrala, Chhala, Limbodra, and Mithapur. The Khawda centre reported the lowest result in this stream, with only 52.56 percent of students passing.
Among districts, Banaskantha achieved a top pass rate of 97.20 percent, while Vadodara recorded the lowest at 87.77 percent. Furthermore, 2,005 schools secured a 100 percent success rate in the General stream, whereas 21 schools had less than 10 percent of students passing.
The GUJCET results have also been announced.
In Group A, 489 students scored above the 99 percentile, 970 surpassed the 98 percentile, and 1,921 exceeded the 96 percentile. In Group B, 790 students achieved scores above the 99 percentile, 1,567 above the 98 percentile, and 3,163 above the 96 percentile. Additionally, 2,915 students in Group A and 4,751 in Group B scored above the 94 percentile.
A total of 1,11,384 students participated in the Science stream exams, comprising 1,00,813 regular candidates, 10,476 repeaters, and 95 isolated students.
In the General stream, 4,23,909 students took the exam, including 3,64,859 regular candidates, 22,652 repeaters, 4,031 isolated students, 24,061 private candidates, and 8,306 private repeaters.
