Sanand (Gujarat), April 10 (NationPress) Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reaffirmed the Gujarat government's dedication to enhancing the lives of de-notified and nomadic communities during his address to a large audience at the closing event of the 29th Akhil Bharatiya Nat Bajaniya Bajigar Samaj Fair held in Motipura village of Sanand taluka on Thursday.
At this significant gathering honoring the community's spiritual leader Pujya Jayashree Dada Motiram, CM Patel highlighted that both the state and Central governments, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have consistently strived to integrate smaller and marginalized communities into the fabric of development.
"The vision of our Prime Minister has always been clear — no community should be left behind on the path to progress. Whether it's the Nat Bajaniya Bajigar Samaj or other de-notified and nomadic groups, initiatives have been set in motion to ensure they actively participate in the nation's advancement," stated CM Patel.
He further noted that PM Modi has persistently crafted people-oriented welfare programs aimed at those at the grassroots level — particularly the impoverished, disadvantaged, and those often overlooked by formal government outreach.
The three-day fair, held at Motipura (Moti Devti) village, attracted thousands from the community and featured cultural displays, spiritual gatherings, and announcements of social welfare initiatives. The temple dedicated to the community's esteemed figure, Dada Motiram, served as the focal spiritual site for the fair.
CM Patel pointed out that accessing government programs for nomadic and de-notified tribes poses challenges due to their constant movement.
“At times, these communities miss out on benefits because of their mobility. Inspired by the Prime Minister's saturation approach, our government is dedicated to reaching every single beneficiary,” he stated.
He also emphasized the government's efforts directed towards economic empowerment.
“We have disbursed loans and financial support amounting to Rs 88 crore to women and youth from de-notified and nomadic communities to assist them in becoming self-sufficient,” he mentioned.
The Chief Minister commended the rising emphasis on education among the youth of the Nat Bajaniya community and expressed optimism that this will foster long-term social change.
Paying tribute to Pujya Motiram Dada, the Chief Minister portrayed him as a profound spiritual leader who continues to motivate the community’s journey from marginalization to progress. The fair concluded with community prayers, welfare exhibitions, and renewed hope for ongoing support from the state.
