This year’s budget, presented by Finance Minister Kanu Desai, is historic, with an allocation of Rs 4.08 lakh crore.
The budget includes Rs 1,775 crore for MSME support, Rs 1,250 crore for 25 Smart GIDCs, and Rs 50 crore for the enhancement of 120 mini GIDCs.
Plans for five new industrial estates in tribal districts are underway, with Rs 2,755 crore allocated under the Gujarat Textile Policy, among various other initiatives.
The government also announced the formation of a Gujarat State Export Promotion Council to bolster exports and enhance competitiveness.
Throughout the discussions, industry leaders evaluated provisions concerning textiles, GIDCs, sports, agro-industries, and storage technologies.
