Deesa, April 1 (NationPress) A tragic incident unfolded when a firecracker factory and storage facility on Dhunwa Road in Deesa, located in Gujarat's Banaskantha district, experienced a catastrophic explosion, resulting in the deaths of at least seven workers and leaving many others injured.
The explosion is believed to have been caused by a boiler malfunction early in the morning.
The blast ignited a massive fire, inciting widespread panic as emergency responders worked tirelessly to contain the flames and locate survivors trapped beneath the rubble.
Witnesses reported hearing multiple detonations, with the force of the blast leading to the roof of the factory collapsing, entombing several individuals inside.
Firefighters from Deesa Municipality, aided by 108 emergency services, arrived rapidly at the scene as flames consumed the factory, complicating rescue efforts.
