Chandigarh, Sep 28 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, convened a meeting on Sunday in Gurugram with senior officials from prominent Japanese corporations, extending an invitation for investment opportunities within the state.
During this meeting, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was formalized with Honda for the management of construction and demolition waste.
As part of this agreement, the state government will allocate land and waste materials to establish the plant, while Honda will produce tiles from the recycled waste.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to head to Japan from October 6 to 8, where he will tour the Haryana Pavilion.
In this regard, CM Saini engaged with senior executives from major Japanese firms operating in Haryana to enhance investment prospects, according to an official statement.
He also addressed the creation of a specialized cluster for Japanese businesses in Haryana and urged them to consider establishing this cluster in Narayangarh.
CM Saini highlighted that Narayangarh is strategically positioned near Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab, being merely 40 to 45 km away, which is expected to greatly facilitate trade.
Discussing water supply initiatives in Manesar, the Chief Minister revealed that a detailed project report (DPR) has been finalized, with work set to begin soon post-tendering.
A budget allocation of approximately Rs 3,000 crore has been earmarked to secure water supply in Manesar via a pipeline from the Munak Canal.
This project has been designed with a 25 to 30-year population growth outlook to ensure sustainable water availability.
Chief Minister Saini underscored the significance of appropriately treating industrial chemical wastewater and promoted the use of advanced technologies for this purpose.
He urged industries to recycle and reuse their wastewater, for which a plan has been developed through the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation.
In the initial phase, this initiative will be executed in Manesar at an investment of around Rs 78 crore, allowing industries to reutilize water.
The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of leveraging corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds for impactful development projects.
He advised that CSR funds should be utilized under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner to maximize their effectiveness and benefit for the community.
