Himachal Pradesh CM Promises Implementation of Seven Key Election Commitments on December 11

Shimla, Dec 3 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Sukhu, during a public meeting held at Bakhli in the Siraj Assembly constituency of Mandi district, proclaimed on Tuesday that the government is poised to fulfill seven significant election commitments on December 11, coinciding with the second anniversary of its establishment.

Furthermore, the government is planning to launch additional welfare initiatives in the near future. The Chief Minister reaffirmed his dedication to serving the general populace and mentioned that all Cabinet Ministers are also committed to addressing public concerns.

He pointed out that the government disbanded the Subordinate Services Selection Commission in Hamirpur following corruption allegations and instances of paper leaks, asserting that he would not jeopardize the youth's future due to corruption.

He criticized the previous Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur for his inaction during these incidents.

The Chief Minister noted that the current administration has ceased the practice of suspending development projects initiated by previous governments. He revealed that the present government has allocated Rs 28 crore for the Baglamukhi ropeway project, demonstrating the Congress government's commitment to meaningful development.

He accused the former BJP government of constructing buildings without hiring staff and launching 900 institutions shortly before elections without sufficient budgets and manpower.

He labeled such actions as a betrayal of the public and stated that the government would only open new institutions after confirming adequate staffing.

The Chief Minister mentioned that the previous BJP administration left the state treasury in a precarious condition, with no funds available to operate the government for even a month. The government has implemented substantial policy changes over the last two years aimed at benefiting the common citizen.

He highlighted the reinstatement of the old pension scheme for 1.36 lakh government employees, the provision of an 11 percent dearness allowance for employees and pensioners, and an increase in police diet allowances to Rs 1,000. These initiatives reflect the improving financial status of the state.

Additionally, the Chief Minister stated that measures have been enacted to bolster the rural economy. The government has launched schemes for purchasing cow milk at Rs 45 per litre, buffalo milk at Rs 55 per litre, maize at Rs 30 per kg, and wheat at Rs 40 per kg.

The daily wages for MNREGA workers have also been raised from Rs 240 to Rs 300.
