Shimla, March 5 (NationPress) The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to India, Dr. Abdulnasser Alshaali, met with Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, on Wednesday to explore potential investment avenues in the state.

Chief Minister Sukhu urged the UAE to consider investments in crucial sectors such as tourism and hospitality, green energy, dairy production, food processing, and data storage.

He emphasized that Himachal Pradesh presents unique investment prospects with its stunning landscapes featuring snow-capped mountains, vast water bodies, and scenic vistas.

To boost tourism infrastructure, the Himachal Pradesh government is working on several initiatives, including the construction of new ropeways, expansion of the Kangra airport, rolling out new four-lane roads, and establishing heliports to enhance connectivity for tourists, positioning Himachal as a prime investment destination.

The Ambassador expressed a strong interest in investing in the tourism sector, particularly in areas like adventure sports and skiing.

He mentioned that the UAE has already pinpointed potential investment locations and is open to suggestions from the Himachal Pradesh government regarding additional sites.

CM Sukhu stated that Himachal Pradesh aims to become the leading state in green energy by next year.

In the last two years, the government has made substantial strides to protect the environment and harness green energy.
