New Delhi, January 25 (NationPress) President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed their warmest wishes to the citizens of Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of their Statehood Day this past Sunday, recognizing the rich traditions, culture, and bravery of the state's inhabitants.
Himachal Pradesh commemorates its Statehood Day annually on January 25, a significant date that signifies its transition to becoming the 18th state of the Indian Union in 1971.
Initially established as a union territory in 1956 and later expanded in 1966, this day symbolizes the state's journey towards complete self-governance.
In a message shared on X, President Murmu expressed, "On the occasion of Himachal Pradesh's Statehood Day, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the residents of the state.
