Ayodhya, Nov 25 (NationPress) The sacred city of Ayodhya resonated with heartfelt chants and fervor on Tuesday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised the revered Dharma Dhwaja above the Ram Temple. This significant event was embraced by saints, seers, and devotees nationwide, who celebrated it as the realization of a 500-year-old aspiration.

Saint Raju Das, visibly moved, reflected on the arduous journey that led to this day.

In an interview with IANS, he stated, “After five centuries, our vision has been realized. Many in Ayodhya are aware that I faced arrest at Ghanta Ghar and spent 40 days in detention. Why? Because at Hanuman Garhi, if someone didn’t chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’, were they expected to utter something else? That was the reality then—just for expressing faith. Today, every heart is filled with joy. This is the very land where, across ages, over five lakh people dedicated their lives, fought, and endured hardships. Now, under the guidance of PM Modi and CM Yogi, the sacred flag waves high. This is no ordinary occasion.”

Another saint shared similar feelings.

“It was a moment of profound joy. Today, after 500 years, the Ram Mandir is officially completed. PM Modi is not merely a leader; he embodies a Mahapurush steering a historic change.”

Mahant Tulsi Das remarked, “This moment brings happiness to our entire nation.”

Mahant Kamal Nayan Das added, “I feel truly privileged. This marks a significant milestone for our nation's spiritual and cultural trajectory.”

Saint Anuj Das noted, “This Dharma Dhwaja is genuinely a Rashtradhwaja. Everything PM Modi accomplished today stemmed from faith, not politics.”

Parshotam Dadichi, President of Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha, pondered the deeper implications.

“The establishment of a temple transcends mere construction—it signifies the birth of values that define a nation. Following the Shila Poojan and the placement of Ram Lalla in the Garbh Griha, today’s flag hoisting symbolizes India emerging as a global spiritual powerhouse. This message radiates positivity not just for our nation but for the entire world.”

The ceremony saw heightened emotions among attendees.

One devotee expressed, “Words cannot capture the joy I feel witnessing this historic moment.”

Another added, “Our nation waited 500 long years for this. To witness it firsthand is a blessing we will treasure eternally.”

At approximately 12 noon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi alongside RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat led the Dhwajarohan Utsav at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple by hoisting a specially crafted sacred saffron flag atop the temple.

This flag, designed specifically for the Ram Temple, is 22 feet long and 11 feet wide. Created by a parachute expert from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, it weighs between 2 to 3 kilograms and is engineered to withstand high altitudes and strong winds. The flag features the Sun symbol, reflecting Lord Rama's Suryavanshi lineage and divine brilliance. It is adorned with images of the Kovidara tree, the Sun, and Om. Its saffron hue symbolizes fire, a new dawn, sacrifice, and commitment.

This event signifies another chapter in the evolving cultural renaissance centered around Ayodhya, with leaders emphasizing that the flag embodies not just religious devotion but also India’s lasting civilizational ethos. It also marks the completion of the temple’s construction.

Earlier, PM Modi offered prayers at the Sapt Mandir situated within the expansive Ram Temple complex.

The Sapt Mandirs pay homage to Maharishi Vashistha, Maharishi Vishwamitra, Maharishi Agastya, Maharishi Valmiki, Goddess Ahalya, Nishadraj Guha, and Mata Shabari.

These seven temples honor the revered gurus, devotees, and companions who played crucial roles in Lord Ram's life, and their presence within the complex underscores their lasting importance.
