Hyderabad, Sep 12 (NationPress) The Cyberabad Police have escalated their investigation into the shocking murder of a housewife at an apartment in Kukatpally.
Two police teams have departed for Jharkhand, where the two suspects, who were domestic workers for the victim, are believed to have fled after committing the crime on Wednesday.
Authorities suspect that the perpetrators boarded a train at Hafeezpet Railway Station to escape the city. A scooter used for their getaway was discovered parked outside the station.
Investigators are diligently analyzing various clues collected from the crime scene and are reviewing CCTV footage from multiple locations.
Five special teams have been formed to apprehend the suspects, who allegedly absconded with cash and gold jewelry following the brutal murder.
The victim, Renu Agarwal (50), was discovered in a pool of blood when her husband, Rakesh Agarwal, and son returned home on Wednesday evening after failing to reach her via phone.
According to police reports, the assailants bound the victim's hands and legs before brutally stabbing her multiple times with a knife and scissors.
Rakesh, who operates a steel business, and his son left for their shop in Fatehnagar that morning, leaving Renu alone in their residence at Swan Lake Condominium.
Harsha (20), originally from Jharkhand and employed as a domestic worker for the Agarwal family about ten days prior, along with Roushan, another Jharkhand native working in a different flat within the same complex, are alleged to be the murderers.
Reports indicate that the assailants struck Renu on the head with a cooker before restraining her. They tortured her for access to the cupboard and locker keys, stealing the gold jewelry she wore as well as cash and more jewelry from her belongings.
After the crime, the suspects reportedly took a shower to eliminate evidence before departing the apartment. CCTV footage captured them leaving with a bag, and they were also seen in the lift.
The suspects escaped on a two-wheeler owned by Roushan's employer, heading toward KPHB Colony.
