Murdered Businessman Discovered After Abduction in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Jan 1 (NationPress) A businessman, who was reportedly kidnapped four days prior, was found murdered in Hyderabad on Wednesday, police stated.

The remains of Vishnu Rupani, who vanished from Panjagutta on December 28, were recovered in SR Nagar.

Residents of Buddhanagar colony in SR Nagar notified the police about a strange odor coming from a locked room. Upon breaking into the room, they discovered a body believed to be that of Vishnu Rupani.

The police have dispatched the body for an autopsy to verify the identity and determine the cause of death.

The room was secured from the outside, leading police to suspect that the businessman was killed by his abductors.

A case has been filed, and an investigation is currently underway.

In a separate incident, a police constable tragically took his own life in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

J. Kiran (36), assigned to the Film Nagar Police Station, was found hanging in his residence in Malakpet. He was part of the 2014 batch.

The motive behind the constable’s drastic decision remains unclear. Authorities have opened a case and are conducting inquiries.

This incident adds to a troubling trend of suicides among police personnel in Telangana, with two officers reportedly ending their lives in separate incidents on December 29.

A head constable was found hanging in Medak district, while a constable ingested pesticides in Siddipet district.

On December 26, a Sub-Inspector and a female police constable, alongside a computer operator from a cooperative society, were discovered deceased in a lake in Kamareddy district.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Sai Kumar, a Sub-Inspector at Bhiknur police station, Shruti, who was assigned to Bibiet Police Station, and computer operator Nikhil.

Dr. Jitender, the Director General of Police (DGP), commented two days ago that the majority of police suicides stem from personal issues. He disagreed that work pressure was a primary factor.

“There may be various issues at play, including financial, family, emotional, and personal challenges. I cannot assert that these incidents are solely due to one factor. We cannot generalize that it is solely because of work pressure, though there may be some instances related to it,” Jitender remarked.
