Body of Sub-Inspector Discovered in Telangana Lake

Hyderabad, Dec 26 (NationPress) Just hours after the remains of a woman police constable and a computer operator were retrieved from a lake in Telangana's Kamareddy district, the body of a Sub-Inspector was also recovered on Thursday.
The remains of Sai Kumar, a Sub-Inspector stationed at Bhiknur police station, were extracted from the lake located in Adlur Ellareddy within Sadashivnagar Mandal.
The earlier recovered bodies belonged to constable Shruti (33) and computer operator Nikhil (29), whose bodies were discovered on Wednesday night.
As Sai Kumar's mobile phone, wallet, and vehicle were located near the lake, authorities intensified their search in the waterbody, ultimately retrieving his body in the morning.
The Kamareddy District Superintendent of Police, Sindhu Sharma, oversaw the search efforts around the lake.
Law enforcement is probing whether these three individuals succumbed to suicide, accidental drowning, or if foul play was involved.
The SP stated that the true cause of death would be clarified once autopsy reports are available.
"It's too early to speculate. We will share further details once our investigation is complete," she asserted.
The Sub-Inspector was married and had two children, while Shruti had divorced her husband.
After Sai Kumar's mobile phone went silent since Wednesday, the Bhiknur police initiated a search for him.
According to reports, Shruti, who was stationed at Bibipet Police Station, left for home Wednesday morning after her shift. When she failed to return, her family reached out to the Bibipet Police Station. Upon learning she had left for home some time ago, they contacted senior police officials.
Police began tracing her location through mobile signals, which led them to Adlur Ellareddy Lake late Wednesday night. Her mobile device was discovered on the lake bund, along with another phone belonging to Nikhil.
Investigators also found Sai Kumar's car and his footwear near the lake, prompting an immediate search operation. The bodies of Shruti and Nikhil were recovered around midnight, while Sai Kumar's remains were pulled from the lake the following morning.
Family members of Sai Kumar expressed disbelief regarding the possibility of suicide, asserting that he was mentally resilient and would not have taken his own life. They suspect that he may have perished while attempting to rescue the two others.
