Sub-Inspector of Police Takes His Own Life in Telangana

Hyderabad, Dec 2 (NationPress) A Sub-Inspector of Police took his own life with his service revolver in the Mulugu district of Telangana on Monday.
Rudrarapu Harish, who was serving as the SI at Wajdeu Police Station, tragically ended his life at a resort located near Mullakatta village in Eturanagaram mandal on Monday morning.
The SI had checked into Harita Resort on Sunday and was reportedly accompanied by a woman when he took this extreme action. Authorities discovered his body in a pool of blood.
The motives behind the SI’s suicide remain unclear. However, police speculate that personal issues may have led him to this decision.
The officer’s remains were transported to a government hospital for an autopsy. A case has been registered by the police, and an investigation is ongoing.
Harish was originally from Venkateshwarlapalli village in Jayashankar Bhupalapally district. After fulfilling his duties on Sunday, he checked into the resort with an unidentified woman.
This shocking incident occurred just a day after seven Maoists were killed in a confrontation with police in the same district. The extremists from the banned CPI (Maoist) were eliminated during an exchange of gunfire with the elite anti-Maoist unit, Greyhounds, in the Pulakomma forest area within Eturanagaram mandal.
This encounter followed an incident eight days earlier where Maoist rebels were accused of murdering two villagers, including a gram panchayat secretary, in Penugolu colony of Wajedu mandal under the suspicion that they were police informers.
These events transpired within the jurisdiction of the Wajedu Police Station, where Harish was stationed as the SI. Reports suggest that the officer was experiencing considerable stress.
In recent months, both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have witnessed multiple incidents of police officers taking their own lives using their service weapons, often attributed to personal challenges.
