Bengaluru, Jan 6 (NationPress) Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar expressed his hopes that CM Siddaramaiah successfully completes his full term in office, emphasizing that there is no confusion within the party.

While addressing reporters in Bengaluru, he stated, “May all good things come his way. I wish him every success. The confusion is with the media, not us. Once again, I wish him all the luck,” he remarked.

On the topic of CM Siddaramaiah matching the record of former CM late D. Devaraj Urs as a long-serving Chief Minister, Shivakumar added, “I hope he achieves further success and that all good things follow him. I pray for his good health so he can serve the people more effectively.”

Shivakumar also mentioned, “I am on my way to Ballari to assess the situation. We desire peace throughout the state. The BJP appears to be becoming restless and engaging in disruptive activities.”

When questioned about the Rs 25 lakh compensation reportedly given in cash to the family of Congress worker Rajashekar by Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan, Shivakumar indicated he would discuss the matter with Khan. He remarked that Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy now seems to have the IT department and central agencies under his influence.

It is notable that Rajashekar lost his life during a firing incident that occurred amidst a clash between Congress and BJP workers.

In response to inquiries about Sonia Gandhi's hospitalization, Shivakumar stated he was unaware of the situation. “We wish her a swift recovery, and our prayers are with her. She deserves a long and healthy life to continue guiding the Congress party and the nation. She has remained steadfast during crises and has provided strong leadership,” he said.

Amidst ongoing leadership debates, Siddaramaiah noted that the decision regarding his completion of a full term as Chief Minister rests with the party's high command. This comment is significant as he previously asserted he would finish his term.

In a conversation with reporters in Mysuru, when asked about his tenure completion, CM Siddaramaiah stated it all hinges on the high command's decision, which remains uncertain. He expressed confidence in completing his term.

“I trust the high command. If I didn't trust them, how could I have become the CM?” Siddaramaiah responded when queried about his faith in the high command.
