Amaravati, Sep 1 (NationPress) - The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, expressed on Monday that throughout his political journey, he has not taken even a single day off, tirelessly working for the welfare of the public.
He emphasized that from the moment he rises in the morning until he retires for the night, his efforts resemble that of a machine.
“Have you ever seen me take a break? Have I ever been ill?” he posed to the audience during a public gathering in Rajampet, located in the Annamayya district, after partaking in a pension distribution initiative.
Having first taken the oath as Chief Minister 30 years ago, Naidu expressed his commitment to illuminating the lives of the citizens.
“I labor diligently, ensuring that the official machinery operates efficiently for development and to augment revenues. With these increased revenues, I can deliver welfare initiatives that guarantee quality education for your children, job prospects for you, and a brighter future,” stated the 75-year-old leader.
On this day, September 1, 1995, Naidu first took the oath of office in the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh.
His family members celebrated this occasion with congratulations.
His wife, Nara Bhuvaneswari, lauded him in a post on X, commemorating his 30-year political journey characterized by unwavering dedication.
“This journey, marked by devotion and the well-being of the populace as the ultimate goal, has inspired many. Each step you have taken and every decision made highlight your commitment to enhancing the future of the people. I wholeheartedly congratulate you on achieving this exceptional milestone. It is my privilege to always support your vision and resolve,” wrote Bhuvaneswari, sharing a picture from Naidu’s swearing-in ceremony.
Chandrababu Naidu’s son and current state minister, Nara Lokesh, also extended his congratulations. “Thirty years ago today, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu took his first oath as Chief Minister, heralding an era that redefined Andhra Pradesh’s aspirations and accelerated its progress. This journey has focused on transforming possibilities into realities and ambitions into sustainable institutions,” wrote Lokesh.
“From establishing HITEC City and Genome Valley to fostering a new technological identity, to Amaravati representing our resolve to create future-ready urban spaces, his leadership has intertwined innovation, infrastructure, and inclusivity. The 'CBN playbook' combined speed with accountability, fostering resilient infrastructure, data-driven services, and platforms that empower citizens and businesses alike. Through poverty alleviation programs and reservation policies, Mr. Naidu’s term has significantly enhanced social justice and empowered the underprivileged. His groundbreaking tenure changed lives in the heartland: by channeling Krishna waters through Handri-Neeva and key lift linkages, the water-scarce Rayalaseema region gained dependable irrigation and drinking water, transforming vast areas across Kurnool, Anantapur, Kadapa, and Chittoor, enabling multiple harvests, stabilizing village water bodies, and boosting farmers' incomes during drought periods,” added his post.
“Upcoming irrigation initiatives like Polavaram and Banakacherla are set to convert Rayalaseema into Ratnalaseema. Three decades is more than just a milestone; it is a living legacy. From HITEC City to 'Quantum' advancements, from biotechnology ambitions to data-driven economies, our work remains an ongoing legacy. Congratulations on reaching three decades, a person I am fortunate to call ‘nanna’ at home and ‘Boss’ in the office. Still youthful at heart and guided by experience, our Chief Minister is prepared to tackle new challenges with clarity, courage, and conviction,” concluded Lokesh.
“Celebrating 30 years of Shri Chandrababu Naidu garu’s visionary leadership, a reformist, an exceptional CM, and an inspiration to many. His relentless commitment to public welfare and progressive governance continues to shape the future of Andhra Pradesh,” remarked Naidu's daughter-in-law, Nara Brahmani.
