Patna, Oct 30 (NationPress) Former Chief Minister of Bihar, Rabri Devi, directed a pointed critique at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday, questioning their incessant election rallies in Bihar, considering the NDA's two-decade governance in the state.
While addressing the media in Patna, Rabri Devi remarked, “If there has been genuine development over the last 20 years under the NDA administration, what justifies their need to visit Bihar? Why the street-corner meetings? Does any of this seem appealing?”
She further accused the NDA of failing the people of Bihar throughout its prolonged rule, claiming that voters are now disenchanted and are looking for a change in the upcoming Assembly elections.
“We are engaging with the public, and dissatisfaction with the NDA government and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is evident. The people are the true decision-makers, and we firmly believe that change is imminent this time,” she asserted.
Rabri Devi also suggested that the NDA has mobilized all its prominent figures, including PM Modi and Amit Shah, due to its fear of losing authority in Bihar.
“They are hosting numerous rallies because they are aware that their government is on the verge of collapse,” she added.
When questioned about her party's prospects in the forthcoming polls, she stated, “We are connecting with the populace and absorbing their sentiments. Everything rests in their hands. We anticipate favorable outcomes on November 14.”
In a social media announcement, the former Chief Minister detailed several commitments from the RJD for women involved in Self-Help Groups under the Jeevika initiative. She mentioned that if a government led by Tejashwi Yadav comes to power, Jeevika Didis would receive permanent employment, a monthly wage, insurance coverage of Rs 1 lakh, and a Rs 2,000 allowance for government-related tasks. Furthermore, their current loans would be interest-free, and interest on past loans would be annulled.
Meanwhile, as the Bihar Assembly elections approach, Prime Minister Modi has conducted significant rallies in Muzaffarpur and Chhapra, generating substantial enthusiasm among NDA supporters.
