Kolkata, Oct 27 (NationPress) The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has successfully wrapped up its Summer Placements for the 62nd Batch of its prestigious MBA program, achieving 100% placements, as reported by the institute in a recent statement on Monday.
The summer internship placements were finalized on October 17, yielding 510 offers for 470 students.
As detailed in the announcement, the placement week for the 62nd batch was executed in a hybrid format, where 183 recruiters from diverse sectors and industries offered various cross-functional roles.
The average monthly compensation reached Rs 1.85 lakh, with the highest domestic salary recorded at Rs 4.5 lakh per month and an international peak of Rs 6 lakh per month. The top 5% of students garnered a monthly stipend of Rs 3.4 lakh, as indicated by the institute.
Similar to prior years, IIM Calcutta attracted participation from firms across all major sectors, including Consulting, Finance, FMCG, Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, Software, and Technology, among others.
While the institute benefited from strong support from its longstanding recruiters, several domestic and global firms joined the ranks as first-time participants.
The robust alumni network of the institute played a crucial role in sustaining the placement process.
